Welcome to Venture Out
Our Unit is located securely in Venture Out, a 64 acre, 5 star condominium on Cudjoe Key, 23 miles North of Key West. In Venture Out there are Units available for Rental either on the Ocean, on the Canal or, like ours on Dry-land. This park offers many extra facilities available to you during your stay! There is a Post Office, an on-site store and deli, laundry facilities, as well as a large heated outdoor swimming pool, a children's pool, a hot tub, and tennis & basketball courts.
Venture Out also has a roped off swimming area in the sheltered Lagoon, a Tiki Hut on the Pier, a great place for a picnic in the shade or the odd spot of fishing if you fancy it, just watch out for the pelicans as they will have your bait in an instance! There is also a Marina where you can launch and dock your boat! The Gatehouse is manning 24/7 by the friendly Venture Out Guards, who are always ready to offer a welcoming Smile.

There is also a library and a Pavilion, where various club events are held. One such Event is the 'Pancake Breakfast' on Saturday mornings. We never manage to attend this, however, as every Saturday we get up early and go out "rummaging', to get all the amazing bargains at all the local Garage Sales. You have to sniff them out! It's great, you never know what bargains you are going to pick up for next to nothing!

The Pier |
A short drive from Venture Out (MM23) there are restaurants and shops along the US1 Highway. On Big Pine, where at dusk you will see many a beautiful key deer, there is a big Winn-Dixie, Eckerds, Scooties and great little Health Food Store, run by Marnie, one very special lady. This shop has a lovely garden out back and Marnie organises various mind-body-spiritual events such as chanting and drumming on a full moon night! On such a night the moon is a real sight to behold.
In Key West you can find all the usual shops such as K-Mart, Eckards, Winn-Dixie etc, and don't miss checking out the Pawn shop there as you never know what you may find. We also are regular visitors to the Salvation Army here, we picked up our Recliner there for $50 last year! Another attraction not to be missed in the Keys (after you have finished Rummaging) is the big Flea Market on Big Pine open on Saturday and Sundays, but don't forget your suncream as it get's very hot at mid-day!
