Only 2045 Station Wagon's were built. This is one of only a handful that still exist today! Malcolm Bishop, Spurr Cars, said "This car is a work of Art and a piece of history"... It starts up every time, handles and holds the road beautifully, this was not a bad car! Powered by the 6 litre V8 E400 engine. 400 denotes the engines torque lb rating. Condition strong 3: She looks fine from 10 feet away. Closer you'll see some blemishes but I wouldn't change a thing. At 47 years old she has "bags of character", well, would you put a wig on Sean Connery? No! See the rocket on the side of this car, at the end the light clusters are rocket engines. The man who designed this car must have been on good sh*t! A little known highly ironic fact that I discovered recently: I saw a 1959 Galaxie and it had the same basic shape as the 1958 Edsel body with a different grille and a Thunderbird roof. IT HAD THE SAME ENGINE AND RUNNING GEAR. The irony is that this car won the Brussells World Trade Fair Prize FOR DESIGN, proving the point that it was the grille that destroyed Edsel and nothing else...and that's why the 58 Grille is the most famous or imfamous Grille in the history of the automobile. |
